As a Portfolio Analyst you will support the Head of Portfolio and Delivery Managers with Demand Management, Management Reporting as well as Financial Management within Portfolio. You will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of RI Delivery Model working with the OCIO to ensure best practices are implemented and adhered to.

You will have a good understanding on agile principles and project management to ensure support and controls implemented are complementary within an agile environment.



  • Manage demand requests from the business. Ensure all requests have an understood business goal.
  • Report on the general heath of a Product and the Product Team(s)
  • Manage Portfolio level risks, issues and dependencies, proactively conduct Portfolio trend analysis, pulling out common themes (e.g. resource issues, quality issues, environment problems)
  • Deliver KPIs, reports, executive summaries at the portfolio level
  • Review DM Status reports to ensure RAG status are understood and all Risks & Issues have mitigating actions
  • Assist in unblocking impediments for DMs caused by Portfolio issues
  • Ensure the Delivery model is understood and adhered to by all DM (including new starters).
  • Centralised and organise Portfolio documentation
  • Assist where required with resource & financial tracking of Product & Project teams.
  • Work with the Head of Portfolio and OCICO to develop the Project Standards and Methodologies, seeking contributions from the community to ensure that the standards meet best practice

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels
  • Ability summarise information into a concise format with a high standard of presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Agile Project Management lifecycle and methodologies
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Good understanding on Risk, Issues and Dependency management
  • Good financial analytical skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision, and have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Advocate on the importance on Governance and controls within Portfolio
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence (desired)
